Where To Start When Decorating A Room

That is the question I would ask myself constantly when it came time to freshen up a room.

I always thought the paint came first then just figure it out from there.  A friend suggested to take everything out of the room and to look at it like a blank canvas. Put something back in the room that you really like and want in the room and build a theme around it.  Since I love clocks,  I hung one of my favoite 27" wall clocks in the room and went from there to pick out the wall color,(keep in mind other colors in the home) new bed spreads, lamps, pillows etc.  It actually came together rather quickly.

In the past I would only decorate with paintings or family pictures on the walls.  Since wall clocks have  become so decorative and unique I love to use them in a room as a conversastion piece and  as a subsitute for painting's or picture's.  The fact they keep time also helps as if keeps space for other items on dresser's or table's.

Have large wall space, you can either hang a large wall clock  27" to  36"  or two or three smaller clocks and set the time for different time zones.

Whatever you decide just keep it simple and don't be afraid to be dareing and try something new and unique.
